Phil Boyer’s Futaleufu Adventures by Will Richardson | Jan 28, 2008 | Heros, Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Phil Boyer My winter guiding season began several weeks ago down in Patagonia, Chile. I am working with Bio Bio Exp. on the Rio Futaleufu, located in region X. Our base camp is surrounded with views of glacial mountains, wooded valleys, and temperate rainforests. Oh yeah, the put in is right out our back door. Whether I am running the rapids of the Futaleufu in a raft, horseback riding up the Rio Azul Valley, or play boating with the crew between trips the fun down here never stops. The weather has been fantastic this year, the sun has been shining and the river is at a perfect play boating level. The Fun is my boat of choice down here for my days off but when I am safety kayaking I get in my Original Hero, its fast, responsive, and handles the big water Futa. with ease. I hope that you all enjoy the photos. Lets go boating! Phil B. Team Jackson Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
