Bill Schultz

Bill Schultz lives in New Berlin, WI. However, he spends a good deal of time in his adopted hometown of Sturgeon Bay, WI chasing big water smallmouth bass in this nationally recognized Mecca of Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Since catching his first smallie in 1994, he has caught and released over 24,150.   Bill is a sought-after speaker at sports shows and fishing events in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, along with being a guest on a variety of regional and national podcasts.  His sellout talks the past 11 years at mega-show, Canoecopia in Madison, WI, have turned hundreds onto the tremendous opportunities and excitement of kayak fishing for smallmouth bass on lakes and rivers throughout Wisconsin. Bill is also a contributing writer for several top web sites and magazines, including Badger Sportsman Magazine.  He has also written articles for, or been featured in, On Wisconsin Outdoors, Kayak Angler Magazine, Outdoor Life and Bassmasters Magazine.

After many years of fishing, Bill discovered kayak fishing in a big way 14 years ago, and says, “I love the quiet, ability to fish waters it would be tough to reach without a kayak and I enjoy the exercise aspects of kayak fishing”. Sharing his passion for kayak fishing and chasing smallmouth bass has become a passion for him. Along with the Jackson Kayak Pro Staff, Bill is on the Pro Staffs for Aqua-Bound/Bending Branches Paddles, St. Croix Rods, Malone Auto Racks, Uncle Josh/Kalin’s, RAM Mounts, Yar-Craft Boats and Mercury Marine. He also has sponsorships with several additional fishing and outdoor companies.
