Name: Trevor Killam
Age: 41
Hometown: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada
Growing up on the east coast of Canada, Trevor has always had a strong passion for the ocean. It wasn’t until early in the millennium, though, when he was first introduced to the world of kayaking by his wife. It is now what consumes him in his free time. Whether it is surfing beach breaks along the Atlantic coast, running tide races in the Bay of Fundy, playing in the rock gardens beside the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse or going for a relaxing evening paddle one of the lakes or rivers. Being able to go to these areas with fellow paddlers only accessible by small water craft is very exciting to him! As a certified sea kayak instructor with Paddle Canada, it allows him the opportunity to introduce kayaking to new people and also build fundamental skills with other paddlers. He has also been able to give back to the community by serving as a volunteer on the Board of Directors with Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia (CKNS). Trevor is a proud serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces for the last 23 years.
