Name: Trudy Killam
Age: 45
Hometown: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada
Trudy was first introduced to kayaking in high school were she competed in K1 and K4 competitions. Although the urge to get on the water never left her, it wasn’t until the early 2000’s that she discovered the exciting possibilities of sea kayaking. Her passion for paddling and having fun on the water is infectious to friends and kayak students alike. She is always eager to pack up her kayak and head out on multi-day trips to explore the off shore islands around the Maritime Provinces. You can also find her enthusiastically running rivers or surfing beach breaks around Nova Scotia. Trudy has volunteered her time on the board of Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia (CKNS) and has taught for the last 6 years at kayaking events and symposium’s in the province. She paddles year round in the cold North Atlantic and dreams of the day when she can quit her job and kayak full time.
